Broxbourne Rowing Club rows on the River Lea from Old Nazeing Road in Broxbourne. Its current facilities include a fleet of club boats, a gym, clubhouse and bar, serving senior, masters, junior, beginner and recreational rowers.

The club was founded in 1847. The Smith-Bosanquet family, involved in its early years, sold the land still occupied by the club to it in 1923. Dame Di Ellis opened a new boathouse in 2007, and Paralympic and world champion Tom Aggar opened the clubhouse in 2011.

Adult Learn to Row courses run at different points in the year, while junior courses are scheduled during the summer holidays. The beginner programme introduces core rowing and sculling technique through coached land and river sessions, with further pathways into squads for recreational or competitive rowing.

The club's competitive programme ranges from local and national regattas to Henley and world masters competition. Its women's masters squad targets the Veterans' Fours Head, Veterans' Head, British Masters, Henley Masters and European and world championships; in 2021 it recorded two British Masters quad wins and wins at the Veterans' Fours Head and Women's Head.

Three Broxbourne juniors named in the club's anniversary history went on to become Olympians: Katie Ball in 1984, Tom Stallard in 2008 and Rowan McKellar in 2020. Ball won national junior titles in 1979 and 1980, represented Great Britain at junior and senior world championships, and later returned as a club coach.

Broxbourne marked its 175th anniversary with a Henley Royal Regatta row-past in 2022 involving long-standing members from across its squads. The club's history also records its first regatta in 1867.
