Hastings Rowing Club is a coastal rowing club at The Boat House on Carlisle Parade, beside Hastings Pier. It welcomes novices, veterans and experienced competitors, with free taster sessions for prospective members.

The club was established on 6 October 1868. In 1887 a Hastings crew won the first South Coast Regatta Challenge Cup for senior fours, an inter-regatta championship funded by eleven south-coast regatta committees.

Full membership includes the use of club boats, paddleboards, kayaks, a sauna and gym. The club describes group training as central to its rowing programme and has also developed a paddleboarding group whose experienced members help others use the club board.

Hastings competes through the Coast Amateur Rowing Association circuit. At the final regatta of 2025, its open junior pair took a fifth win of the season, while the women's junior sculler and open masters four both finished second. The club had earlier entered ten crews and recorded three wins at Shoreham.

The club hosts Hastings Regatta on the beach. Its 2025 edition was held on 13 July with crews from the CARA calendar, and Hastings athletes raced in pairs, fours and single sculls across junior, novice and masters categories.

The official archive also records appearances at Bexhill, Eastbourne, Folkestone, Herne Bay, Deal and Dover. Those reports document coastal racing throughout the season rather than a single annual home event.
