Lancaster University Boat Club is the university's rowing club, founded in 1964 as Lancaster opened to students. Lancaster University describes it as the university's oldest sports club. It is based at the former Halton railway station on Denny Beck Lane and rows on the River Lune north of Lancaster.

The boathouse contains a kitchen, changing rooms and toilets above the boat-storage area. The lower level houses the rowing fleet and Lancaster University Canoe Club's canoes, with fixed racks for larger boats and a small-boat rack added in 2020.

The club organises members into senior and novice squads and has a separate pathway for coxes. Its own squad pages also list coaching, membership and Red Rose, the alumni group formerly known as Castrum.

A 2022 university funding report records the purchase of a men's coxed four and a novice eight, followed by a grant towards a women's coxed four. The men's four won its time trial and final at Peterborough Regatta, the Grand Challenge Cup at Durham Regatta and finished second in a Metropolitan Regatta final. The eight also won at Peterborough and took the Alderman Cup at Durham.

The club races the University of York in the annual Roses varsity and attends events including BUCS and Henley qualification. Its home water is also used for the City of Lancaster Regatta, Head of the Lune and Red Rose races.
