Queen's University Belfast Boat Club was founded in 1931 and is based at 29 Lockview Road in Belfast. The Queen's boathouse is home to the university's separate men's and ladies' boat clubs and supports rowing from novice to international level.

QUBBC recruits novice athletes each September alongside intermediate and senior squads. Queen's Rowing currently lists three full-time coaching staff and combines water sessions with weights, circuits and ergometer training.

The boathouse and coaching programme are part of Queen's Rowing Academy. The university describes the men's and ladies' clubs as having a strong record at senior and novice level in Ireland and beyond, while Rowing Ireland lists both organisations separately.

QUBBC won the Irish senior championship in 1952, 1953, 1956, 1957, 1959 and 1962. In 2018-19 its men's novice quadruple scull became both British and Irish champions, and an Elite Athlete Programme crew returned from the World Under-23 Championships with lightweight men's quadruple sculls bronze.

The club hosts the QUB Head of the River and races around Ireland and Great Britain. Queen's also reported four athletes representing Ireland, Scotland and Wales at the 2019 Home International Regatta.
