Strathclyde Park Rowing Club was established in 2000 and is based at the Watersports Centre on Strathclyde Loch in Motherwell. It is the open rowing club at the purpose-built Strathclyde Country Park course.
SPRC welcomes juniors aged 12 to 18, adults, recreational rowers, competitive athletes, coxes, coaches and volunteers. Its beginner pathway includes taster sessions and multi-week learn-to-row courses using gym machines and training boats.
Members range from complete beginners to athletes in Scottish Rowing's Performance Development Academy. The club offers boats, a gym, qualified coaching and year-round sessions, with water training in summer and indoor training through winter.
The Row and Grow outreach programme gives local young people coached access to rowing. During 2024-25 the wider outreach project delivered more than 40 free sessions to 390 participants, including pupils with additional support needs and young people outside mainstream education.
At the 2025 Scottish Championships, SPRC won six gold, ten silver and five bronze medals across masters, senior and junior racing. The same annual report records nine wins at Nithsdale Regatta, British junior medals, Home International selections and nine World Masters wins shared by two club athletes.
