Pittsburgh Rowing Club rows on the Ohio River from the RMU McPhail Boathouse on Grand Avenue in Pittsburgh. It promotes rowing for people of all skill levels, from beginners through to elite competitors.
The club's programmes run from learn-to-row sessions through to competitive racing. Its Masters programme is pitched as a welcoming community for all experience levels, and sits alongside a juniors squad, private lessons and summer camps.
Private lessons and small-group coaching give the club a route in for people who want to start outside a fixed squad timetable, and the summer camps extend that to younger rowers during the school break.
The club publishes its own weather and safety guidance for rowing on the Ohio, a working river with commercial traffic.
