What is white-label rowing program software?

White-label means the platform looks like your program, not like Row HQ. Athletes and parents log in at your custom domain, see your school or club logo and colors throughout, and receive emails from your program's address. The Row HQ name only appears in the small print. Useful for NCAA varsity programs, prep school crew, and large junior clubs that want a unified athlete portal without building software themselves.

What you can customize

Your program's look and feel, everywhere athletes and parents interact with the system

Your Logo

Upload your school or club logo from the admin dashboard and it shows on login screens, headers, and emails.

Program Colors

Pick your primary and accent colors and the whole interface matches.

Custom Domain

Athletes access the athlete portal at your domain: crew.yourschool.edu or rowing.yourclub.org. Protected by our security measures, including CCPA compliance for California residents.

Branded Emails

System emails come from your domain with your branding on them - so parents recognize them as official program comms.

App Icon

Athletes adding it to their home screen see your program's icon, not ours.

Custom Documents

Reports, AD exports, and Title IX summaries carry your program's logo and branding.

Why White Label Matters

Your athletes signed up for your program, not a software vendor. White labeling ensures they - and their parents - interact with your brand at every step. See how it works for Oundle Town Rowing Club.

White-label rowing program app FAQs

Common questions about putting your program's branding on the Row HQ platform.

A white-label rowing program app is one where the underlying platform is built by us but the experience your athletes see is yours - your logo, your colors, your custom domain, and emails sent from your address. Athletes open "the Princeton Rowing app" rather than "the Row HQ app", which builds trust faster than a third-party brand. Under the hood it is the same Row HQ codebase used by every program, so you get the full feature set (practice management, boat reservations, athlete portal, coach tools, admin dashboard) without paying to build the same thing yourself.

Yes. White-label includes a custom subdomain - typically app.yourcrew.org or rowing.youruniversity.edu - that points at the Row HQ platform with your branding applied. We handle the DNS configuration with your IT department or domain provider during onboarding (it is one CNAME record). The custom domain is what athletes see in the address bar, what they bookmark, and what shows in their browser history. Your existing program website carries on as normal; the app sits on the subdomain alongside it.

Yes. Notifications, password resets, athlete invites, renewal reminders, and any other system email go out from a program address (typically noreply@yourcrew.org or admin@yourcrew.org) with your logo in the header and your colors throughout. We set up the SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records during onboarding so the emails authenticate properly and do not land in spam (especially important for parent communications hitting Gmail filters). Replies route to whichever address you choose - usually the head coach, team manager, or athletic department.

No. White-label - logo, colors, custom subdomain, branded emails - is included for every program on every band. There are no feature tiers and nothing is held back on a cheaper plan. Programs of up to 20 active athletes get the full white-label setup free, and above that you move onto a simple monthly band based on active athlete count with white-label still included. Most programs brand their app in the first week because athletes and parents trust a branded program app more than a third-party one, and athletic departments prefer the professional look for recruiting comms.

A working white-label setup typically goes live within one to two business days of the order: we configure your subdomain, apply your logo and brand colors, set up the email authentication, and run a test invite to confirm everything looks right. The longer item - if any - is sorting the DNS record with your IT department or domain provider, which sometimes takes a day or two depending on how responsive their support is. We handle every technical step ourselves; the program only needs to confirm the brand assets (logo as SVG/PNG, primary and secondary hex colors) and approve the test email before launch.
