Triangle Rowing Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit on Lake Wheeler Road in Raleigh, dedicated to developing, instructing and training youth rowers in North Carolina.
The club runs both High School and Middle School squads for committed athletes, plus summer learn-to-row programmes for rising 6th to 12th graders. The summer course is framed as a week of regular practice so a prospective rower can find out whether the club suits them before committing.
Competitively the club races at major regional and national regattas. It says that racing has enabled a number of its rowers to earn scholarships and places on collegiate rowing teams across the United States, which for a junior programme is the outcome that matters most to parents.
Alongside the squads the club publishes its training schedule, coaching staff, facilities and achievements, and runs a supporter and merchandise operation to fund the programme.
