New Zealand Rowing Competition Calendar 2027

Kiwi racing runs from October through to March, so one season straddles New Year. Club regattas and secondary school fixtures share the same lakes, and Lake Karapiro near Cambridge hosts many of the big ones. The Maadi Cup closes the school season in late March, held at Karapiro in odd years and Lake Ruataniwha near Twizel in even years.

Key dates for the 2027 season

North Island Rowing Championships runs 29 January to 31 January 2027; New Zealand Rowing Championships runs 10 February to 13 February 2027; North Island Secondary School Rowing Championships runs 26 February to 28 February 2027. Every other confirmed head race and regatta for 2027 is in the table below.
