Boston Rowing Club is based at 177 Carlton Road in Boston, Lincolnshire, and rows on the River Witham. Founded in 1856, it is one of the older rowing clubs in the country.

The club accepts recreational and competitive rowers. Its membership structure includes social members, recreational adults, juniors under 18 and full adult members, with coached sessions available both indoors and on the river.

Adult and junior beginners can take a six-week Learn 2 Row course. Boston normally runs two or three courses a year, teaching rowing and sculling technique, terminology, equipment handling and river safety.

Off-water facilities include indoor rowing machines and gym equipment. Recreational members can use the club's wider Explore Rowing-style boats, while full and junior racing members can use its racing boats and represent Boston at competition.

The Boston Head of the River opens the club's racing year in January under British Rowing rules. The club also runs the Boston Rowing Marathon from Lincoln to Boston on the third Sunday of September.

The marathon began in 1946 as a private row following a pub bet, included Crowland Rowing Club in 1949 and opened to all competitors in 1950. Boston says the event has since drawn competitors from Canada, the United States and Africa.

Since 1999 the club has hosted Great Britain squad winter time trials. It has also hosted the British Universities and Colleges Sport Small Boats Head.
