About this club

University of Lincoln Rowing Club is the Students' Union rowing club for University of Lincoln students. Its current mission is to make rowing available to students from different backgrounds and skill levels.

The club has fresher and senior squads. Freshers receive coached land and water sessions from volunteer fresher coaches, while senior rowers can add self-organised training for their crews.

Both squads receive up to two sessions a week with a professional coach. They attend head races and regattas during the year, and the Students' Union lists the organisation as a BUCS sports club.

The club trains on the River Witham in collaboration with Lincoln Rowing Centre. A 2025 club fundraiser identified BUCS Regatta as its principal season target and described the organisation as self-funded by its members.

An archived 2012 race notice shows the club running Lincoln University Beginner Head from Lincoln Rowing Centre on a 1,500-metre River Witham course. The event was intended to give first-year men's and women's fours and eights their first racing experience.

Current evidence supports a real, active student club, but no reliable foundation year was found. Its training base is identified as Lincoln Rowing Centre, Spa Road, Lincoln; LN5 7FB is supplied by current location directories rather than the Students' Union page itself.
