Royal Shrewsbury School Boat Club is Shrewsbury School's rowing club on the River Severn at Kingsland. The school held its first recorded rowing regatta in 1839, and the boat club was formally constituted in 1866.

The boathouse is on the school site. The club's programme now includes boys' and girls' crews, with coaching and competition directed through the school's rowing staff.

RSSBC records 14 Henley Royal Regatta victories. These include the Princess Elizabeth Challenge Cup in 1955, 1957, 1960, 1961 and 2007, plus a sequence of Special Race for Schools and Fawley Challenge Cup wins during the 1970s and 1980s.

At National Schools' Regatta the club has won the Queen Mother Challenge Cup in 1976, 1982 and 2006. Its Schools' Head record includes four eights victories, and in 1982 the first eight completed an undefeated school season across Schools' Head, National Schools' Regatta and Henley.

The girls' programme won the inaugural junior women's eight at Henley Women's Regatta in 2021. Two Shrewsbury pupils won gold at the 2023 Under-19 World Rowing Championships, and the senior girls' coxless four and senior boys' coxed four both won gold at National Schools' Regatta in 2024.

Shrewsbury is one of two schools whose houses hold bumps racing. The races take place over four evenings at the end of the summer term, with houses usually entering three boats.
