Trent Rowing Club is a community club on the River Trent at Stapenhill in Burton upon Trent. Its home is The Boathouse, Stapenhill Road, Burton on Trent, DE15 9AE.

The club traces its amateur history to 1863 and records an earlier professional four-oared win at Derby Regatta in 1859. In 1889 it refused to exclude manual workers under the Amateur Rowing Association's Mechanics Rule, was barred from ARA events and helped create the National Amateur Rowing Association for clubs with similar principles.

Fourteen-year-old recruits who joined in 1982 were racing for England in the Anglo-French match by 1984. Trent won its first National Championships gold in 1989 through a girls' quad, and coach Becky Neale's crews collected 13 National Championships and National Schools medals before her captaincy ended in 1994.

The club bought the freehold of its Stapenhill Road home on 12 July 2007, the year the boathouse reached its centenary. In its 150th anniversary season in 2013, members recorded 25 head wins, 75 regatta wins and five Victor Ludorum awards. The 160th anniversary season brought 67 regatta wins and two Victor Ludorum awards.

Trent now offers learn-to-row for people aged 10 and over who can swim 50 metres, alongside ongoing junior, senior and masters programmes. Its published squad information describes juniors aged 12 to 18, year-round senior competition training for adults, and masters use of the river and training facilities.

The club supports Burton Regatta and Burton Head with Burton Leander Rowing Club through the Burton Regatta Association. First established in 1865, the regatta reached its 160th edition in 2026 with two days of side-by-side racing on the River Trent.
