Loreto College Marryatville Rowing

Loreto College Marryatville runs a school rowing programme in Adelaide. Rowing South Australia's regatta system records the school as Loreto College Marryatville, and South Australian Head of the River histories record its first participation in 2012.

The college's Head of Rowing role is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the annual programme. The role brief says the programme caters for ability levels from beginners to elite athletes and combines crew training with off-water fitness work.

The same brief covers crew selection, race entries, boat allocation, coaching assignments and rowing camps. It also requires the college to maintain rowing equipment and facilities and to provide students with opportunities to race.

Loreto rows during Terms 1 and 4 and attends regattas, camps and the South Australian Schools' Head of the River. The programme is represented in Rowing SA meetings and the Head of Rowing works with a parent rowing community.

Loreto hosted the 2025 Schools' Head of the River on 15 March. The published results record Loreto wins in the Schoolgirl Year 9 Coxed Quad and Schoolgirl Year 7/8 Coxed Quad, alongside further second, third and fifth placings across the programme.
