What does Row HQ actually do?
Row HQ replaces the spreadsheets, WhatsApp polls, paper sign-out sheets, and email chains a typical Australian rowing club runs on. One platform handles training session attendance, boat booking, crew selection, member portal access, regatta entries, coach tools, and committee admin - with proper permissions and a full audit trail behind every change.

No. Row HQ is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that works in any browser. Members can add it to their home screen for an app-like experience, but it's optional. See it in our screenshot gallery.
Most clubs are running it within a day. Basic setup is about 30 minutes. Migration from spreadsheets and Rowing Australia member registers takes 1-2 days. Onboarding support is free.
Yes. Row HQ runs anything from 20 members to 500+. Small clubs and community boatsheds get the biggest win because they have the fewest volunteers to spare on admin.

Free for good for clubs of up to 20 active members - full product, no card. Above 20 you pay a flat monthly band in AUD based on active member count, and every feature is included on every band. Full numbers are on the pricing page, or contact us for a custom quote.

Yes. Subs, levies, regatta entries, and other charges carry GST treatment, so the treasurer can pull quarterly BAS figures straight from the system. Tax invoices generate automatically on member payments.
Features Questions
Yes. Member records carry the fields Rowing Australia annual returns and state association registrations need. Pull a CSV that loads into the RA portal at registration time. State-association numbers sit alongside each member record.
Yes. Squads can mirror state association structures - Rowing NSW, Rowing Victoria, Rowing Queensland, etc. - with separate permissions, training schedules, and competition pathways per state-level group.
Yes. Schools running APS, AGSV, CAS, GPS, or PSA circuits can model their season schedule, crew trials, and selection workflows in Row HQ. Head of the River, King's Cup pathway, and school regatta events are all covered.
Yes. White-label puts your logo, colours, and a custom domain (e.g., app.yourclub.com.au) in front of members. Details on the white label page.
Yes. Stripe handles card payments in AUD. Clubs track subs, levies, and regatta fees, send automated reminders, and pull financial reports for the committee.
Yes. Row HQ supports multiple user roles: Admins (full access via the admin dashboard), Coaches (crew selection and session management), and Members (personal features via the member portal).

Row HQ is designed around the 13 Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988. Members can request access to or correction of their personal information, and the system supports notifiable data breach scheme requirements.

Only authorised committee, coaches, and the member themselves, and only the records their role needs. Members set their own privacy preferences for what other members can see.
Migration Questions
