Rowing Management Software for Australian Clubs
Boat booking, training sessions, attendance, crew selection, member portal, regatta entries, and committee reporting in one platform. Built for rowing clubs across Australia, the UK, US, Canada, New Zealand, and Ireland. Replaces spreadsheets, WhatsApp polls, and paper sign-out sheets.
Built for clubs affiliated with Rowing Australia and state associations, plus rowing programmes in the UK, US, Canada, New Zealand, and Ireland.
How does Row HQ fit a club and school setup?
Separate squads, one shed. Club, school and masters squads each get their own permissions, sessions and crew lists, while the fleet stays shared so nobody double-books an eight across two programmes. Rowing Australia and state association membership sit on the same member record as the bookings. Free for clubs with up to 20 active members, then banded AUD pricing.
Australian rowing runs on two calendars at once
Most Australian clubs are really two organisations sharing a shed. There is the club season, and there is the school season - GPS, AGSV, APS - and they compete for the same boats, the same coaches and often the same water at 5:30am. A single spreadsheet cannot hold both. Add masters squads training around work, and the coordinator is reconciling three sets of availability by hand every week.
That is before Rowing Australia and state association returns, regatta levies, and entries for King's Cup or Head of the Yarra. Software written for AFL or netball assumes one squad, one roster, one fixture list. Row HQ assumes the opposite: separate squads with separate permissions and schedules, a shared fleet that knows which boat is committed to which programme, and a school sports coordinator view that does not require handing over the whole club. See the features in detail.
Built for Rowing Australia affiliated clubs
State association and RA membership, water-safety qualifications and regatta eligibility all live in the same member record.
RA and state association membership
Membership category, number and renewal date on each member, covering both your state association and Rowing Australia. Filter the roster by status and pull a lapsed-members report before the season starts.
Water-safety qualifications
Swim test and capsize drill records stored per member with expiry flags. Anyone without a current record is highlighted before a coach can put them in a crew for open water.
Regatta eligibility checks
Before entering a state or national regatta, check active membership, current water-safety records and age-group restrictions in one pass. Ineligible rowers are flagged automatically.
RA returns without the re-keying
Export a structured member report by membership category and age group, aligned to the fields Rowing Australia collects for annual returns.
What we do not claim
Row HQ does not sync automatically with Rowing Australia or your state association's membership system. No public API is available to club software, so no third-party system can do it. Row HQ gives you one place to hold that data alongside your bookings and crews, instead of a second spreadsheet. Read the full detail on Rowing Australia and Row HQ.

Rowing management software handles the operational work specific to running a rowing club: training session attendance, boat booking with conflict prevention, crew selection, member portals, regatta entries, and admin reporting. It differs from generic club software because it understands that members train in crews, that boat conflicts cost an entire eight off the water, and that selection trials need a crew builder rather than a calendar invite. Row HQ is rowing club management software built for Australian clubs that were running on spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups.
Most clubs go live within a day. We handle the data migration from your spreadsheets, member registers, and Rowing Australia returns.
We import it for you. Spreadsheets, member lists, boat inventories - send it over and we will get it into the system.
Yes. Set different permissions, schedules, and boat access per squad. Senior, novice, masters, and school squads can all run on one club instance.
It checks boat availability before confirming. If someone else has the boat, you can't book it. Per-squad access rules stop novices in eights they shouldn't be in.
Yes. Small clubs tend to get the most out of it since they have fewer volunteers to handle admin. Schools-affiliated clubs and community boatsheds run particularly well.
Yes. Parent visibility, school billing flows, and selection-trial workflows are all supported. See the schools page for details.
Founder-led email support from the UK (which lands evening AEST), plus documentation and video tutorials. Every club gets a video onboarding session, on every band.
Yes. It works in any mobile browser. You can add it to your home screen.
TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest, daily backups, UK-based servers (London), role-based access. Designed around the Australian Privacy Principles for AU members. We never share your data with third parties.
