Rowing training session management
Members tap to confirm attendance. Coaches see who's coming. No more WhatsApp polls, no missed regatta calls, no messy spreadsheets.
What is rowing training session software?
Rowing training session software is a system that lets a club publish its weekly training plan in one place, take one-tap attendance from members on their phones, and roll the resulting numbers into crew selection and admin reports. Instead of WhatsApp polls and a separate spreadsheet, members see every water, erg, and circuits session in a single feed, confirm if they are in or out, and get a reminder before the session. Coaches walk to the boatshed already knowing the numbers, and the historical attendance data feeds straight into crew selection for King's Cup and Head of the Yarra builds.

Training session software FAQs
What rowing clubs ask before switching from WhatsApp polls and spreadsheets.
Rowing training session software is a system that publishes your weekly water, erg, and circuits sessions to every member at once, captures one-tap attendance, sends reminders, and feeds the resulting numbers into crew selection and admin reports. It replaces the WhatsApp poll plus a parallel spreadsheet that most clubs still rely on. Members see what is happening this week from their phone, confirm if they are coming, and the coach turns up to the boatshed already knowing the numbers and who is rowing in which boat.
One tap. Members open the Row HQ app, see the session card for the next training, and tap "Going" or "Not going". They can add a quick note (running 10 minutes late, can erg only, available as spare) but they do not have to. Coaches see the live count update without refreshing. Members who do not respond get a polite reminder a few hours before the session. The system records the response history so coaches can spot the members who consistently turn up versus the ones who are dropping off.
Yes. Most clubs set up their entire weekly schedule once - Tuesday evening erg, Saturday morning water, Sunday morning long row, novice intake on Wednesday - with each session marked by type. Recurring sessions auto-publish week after week so admins do not re-enter them every Sunday night. You can edit a single instance (cancel for bad weather, move time, swap location) without breaking the recurrence. Different sessions can have different visibility - novice-only or seniors-only - so the right members see the right sessions.
Yes. Members get a notification a few hours before each session they have signed up for, plus a separate reminder if they have not yet responded. The reminder timing is configurable per club - some prefer a 24-hour-out heads-up, others a 2-hour-before nudge. Coaches can also send a manual broadcast ("session moved to the calmer side of the Yarra due to wind") that goes to everyone in that session in seconds, replacing the WhatsApp scramble. Members control their notification preferences from their member portal.
Yes - this is one of the biggest wins. The attendance data from training sessions feeds directly into the coach-tools crew builder, so when a coach opens crew selection on Friday they already see who has been in the last six sessions, who has been training on the erg, and who is available for Saturday. No more rewriting a spreadsheet on regatta week to figure out who is in form. The crew assignments then push back as notifications, so members know they are in the M8+ for tomorrow without waiting for a WhatsApp announcement.
