We're Live!
After a year of development and testing with Oundle Town Rowing Club, Row HQ is open for Irish rowing clubs and clubs worldwide.
Row HQ is now accepting clubs. Here's what it does and how we got here. Over the past year we built and refined the platform with our pilot club, Oundle Town Rowing Club (OTRC), and it is now ready for clubs across Ireland, the UK, and beyond.
What is Row HQ?
Row HQ is a web-based rowing club management platform that handles training sessions, boat booking, crew lineups, member communication, events, and committee reporting from a single login. Built for rowing clubs from first principles - community clubs, university boat clubs, school programmes - it works on phones, tablets, and desktops wherever your club rows, from Inniscarra to Lough Erne.
The Journey to Launch
Row HQ started because most rowing clubs still run on spreadsheets, paper forms, and WhatsApp groups. That works up to a point. After that point it creates hours of unnecessary admin and lets things fall through the gaps - a problem just as real at Cork BC as it was at our pilot club in Northamptonshire.
Over the past year we worked closely with OTRC to understand the specific pressures that rowing clubs face. Coordinating outings across multiple squads, managing boat bookings, chasing attendance confirmations. The result is features built around how clubs actually run.
What features does Row HQ offer?
Row HQ handles the workflows clubs spend the most time on. Outing scheduling, boat booking with conflict prevention, crew lineups with drag-and-drop assignment, a self-service member portal, regatta and event management, membership payments via Stripe, and a committee dashboard with attendance and financial reporting. Everything works in a browser on phones, tablets, and desktops.
-
Session management: Create, schedule, and run training sessions, with crew suggestions built from attendance data and skill level.
-
Boat booking: Real-time fleet availability, conflict prevention, and equipment tracking.
-
Member portal: Self-service so members book sessions, view the schedule, and update their own availability.
-
Event management: Regatta entries, crew assignments, and event communications in one place.
-
Analytics: Track attendance, monitor boat usage, and see what is actually happening across the club.
Success with OTRC
OTRC by the Numbers
Active members managed
Significantly less time spent on coordination
Working with OTRC shaped every design decision in Row HQ. Their feedback on what matters in day-to-day club admin kept us focused on practical problems rather than features that look good in a demo but never get used. The full story is in our Oundle Town Rowing Club case study.
"What used to take hours of coordination just happens now. Coaches spend their time coaching instead of chasing availability, and members actually use the self-service features."
Our Commitment to Rowing Clubs
As we open up to new clubs, here's what we are committed to:
- Fair, transparent pricing that scales with your club size, in EUR for Irish clubs
- Personalised onboarding and setup for your committee
- Ongoing improvements driven by what clubs tell us they actually need
- Support from people who understand how a rowing club runs
What's Next?
This is just the start. We have a lot planned, including:
- The Row HQ web app installs to the home screen from any phone browser and keeps getting better on mobile
- Deeper performance tracking and analytics
- Integrations with popular timing systems used at Irish regattas
- More coach tools for training plan management
- Multi-club support for regional organisations and multi-site clubs
We build based on what clubs tell us they need. If something is missing, we want to hear about it.

Thanks to everyone at OTRC for being our pilot club and working with us through the early versions. Their honest feedback shaped what Row HQ is today. Read what other clubs think on our testimonials page.
Less admin, more rowing.
