Rowing training session management
Members tap to confirm their outing. Coaches see exactly who is coming. No more WhatsApp polls or messy spreadsheets.
What is rowing training session software?
Rowing training session software is a system that lets an Irish rowing club publish its weekly schedule in one place, collect one-tap attendance from members on their phones, and feed those numbers into crew selection and committee reports. Instead of WhatsApp polls and a parallel spreadsheet, members see every water, erg, and circuits session in a single feed, confirm whether they are in or out, and get a reminder before the outing. Coaches arrive at the slip already knowing who is on the water, and the attendance history feeds straight into crew planning for regattas.

Training session software FAQs
What Irish rowing clubs ask before switching from WhatsApp polls and spreadsheets.
Rowing training session software is a system that publishes your weekly water, erg, and circuits sessions to every member at once, captures one-tap attendance, sends reminders, and feeds those numbers into crew selection and committee reports. It replaces the WhatsApp poll plus a parallel spreadsheet that most Irish clubs still rely on. Members see what is happening this week from their phone, confirm if they are coming, and the coach arrives at the slip already knowing the numbers and who is in which boat.
One tap. Members open Row HQ, see the session card for the next outing, and tap "Going" or "Not going". They can add a quick note (running 10 minutes late, erg-only, available as a spare) but they do not have to. Coaches see the live count update without refreshing. Members who have not responded get a polite reminder a few hours before the session. The system records response history so coaches can spot the members who consistently turn up versus those who are dropping off before the Irish Championships at Inniscarra.
Yes. Most clubs set up their entire weekly schedule once - Monday evening erg, Saturday morning water on the Liffey or the Lee, Sunday long row, Wednesday novice intake - with each session marked by type. Recurring sessions auto-publish week after week so admins are not re-entering them every Sunday night. You can edit a single instance (cancel for a weather warning, move time, swap location) without breaking the recurrence. Different sessions can have different visibility - novice-only or senior squad-only - so the right members see the right outings.
Yes. Members get a notification a few hours before each session they have signed up for, plus a separate reminder if they have not yet responded. The reminder timing is configurable per club - some prefer a 24-hour heads-up, others a 2-hour-before nudge. Coaches can also send a manual broadcast ("outing moved to the upper reach due to the flood warning") that goes to everyone on that session in seconds, replacing the WhatsApp scramble. Members control their notification preferences from the member portal.
Yes - this is one of the biggest wins. The attendance data from training sessions feeds directly into the coach-tools crew builder, so when a coach opens crew selection ahead of Skibbereen Regatta or the Irish Championships they already see who has been in the last six outings, who has been training on the erg, and who is available on the day. No more rewriting a spreadsheet on race week to figure out who is in form. Crew assignments push back as notifications, so members know they are in the first eight without waiting for a WhatsApp announcement.
