Row HQ runs the full lifecycle: create the regatta in the system, open expressions of interest to members, build crews from the responders, lock entries before the deadline, and record results after racing. Each event has its own page that members see in the app, with the closing date, fee, and which categories the club is entering. Members tap to register interest and the captain or coach takes it from there. The system handles entries for the Irish Rowing Championships at Inniscarra, the Irish University Rowing Championships, Dublin Metropolitan Regatta, Skibbereen Regatta, Galway Regatta, and internal club heads equally well - it is the same workflow whether you are entering one boat or ten.
Yes - that is the standard workflow. Most clubs open expressions of interest several weeks before the entry deadline so coaches can see who is available before finalising crews. Members see the regatta in their feed, tap "interested", optionally select which categories they want to race, and add a note (for example "available all weekend except Sunday afternoon"). Coaches see the responses live in the crew builder and pick the squad from the people who actually said yes - no chasing round to find out who is available.
Set up common regattas in a few clicks with pre-filled templates for Rowing Ireland fixtures - closing dates, categories, and event details ready to confirm. We do not push entries to the Rowing Ireland portal directly - their entry system is not open to third parties - but the data export gives you everything you need to drop in the right format. The result: club records crews internally, hits the Rowing Ireland deadline with no manual rekeying, and keeps a record of who raced in which boat for season-end reporting and the AGM.
The crew builder allows last-minute substitutions on race day with a clear audit trail. If a member is ill on race morning, the captain swaps in the spare from their phone and everyone affected - the replacement rower, the cox, the team manager - gets a notification within seconds. The original entry is preserved alongside the actual race-day crew, so if the regatta organiser asks who raced in the M4+ at 09:42, you have a definitive record. Substitutions flow into the post-event results so credit goes to the right people.
Yes. After the event, the captain or coach records each crew's result against the relevant entry - finishing time, position, head time, opponent. Results show on each rower's profile, on the club's results page (if you choose to publish), and feed into season-end reporting for the AGM. Over time the system builds a results history per member, useful for selection and for the captain's annual report. The data exports to CSV for clubs that publish to a website or submit to Rowing Ireland.
