Coláiste Iognáid Rowing Club is the rowing club of the co-educational Jesuit secondary school in Galway known locally as the Jes. The club has occupied its site at Earl's Island, within the University of Galway grounds, since the early 1950s.

The club's own history dates its foundation to 1934. It places that milestone after St Ignatius College, established in 1863, closed in 1926 and was re-established as Coláiste Iognáid in 1929. An illustrated club history covers the years 1934 to 2014.

Each year the school invites new students to try rowing. Its programme competes at under-14, under-15, under-16 and under-18 level at regattas throughout Ireland, while the club's event schedule also includes indoor racing, heads and national championships.

The club says it now has more than 90 members and describes itself as one of Ireland's largest school rowing clubs. Coaches, committee members, parents and the school support the programme, and a separate newsletter is distributed to members of its adult recreational club, Club Rámhaíochta Naomh Iognáid.

At the 2018 Irish Schools Championships, the Jes recorded ten wins and finished as the top school among 72 schools. Later that season it won 13 races and 56 medals at Galway Regatta, including the Anderson Trophy for the junior men's eight and the junior women's eight.

Former members have represented Ireland or their clubs at the World Under-23 Championships, World University Games, Henley Royal Regatta, Women's Henley, senior world championships and the Olympic Games. The club remains an active Rowing Ireland affiliate in Connacht.
