About this club
Avonside Girls' High School rowing is one of four Christchurch school programmes affiliated with Canterbury Rowing Club, whose boatshed is at Kerrs Reach on Avonside Drive in Wainoni, Christchurch. Rowing is listed among the sports offered to students at the girls' school.
Canterbury Rowing Club's affiliated schools race for the club in the first half of the season, then go on to compete at school regattas, including the Maadi Cup.
In February 2025 the school board recorded that its rowing teams had done well, with one crew placing third in a final, and resolved to apply for a grant towards the cost of the 2025 Maadi Regatta.
