Christchurch Girls' High School runs a rowing programme for its students in Christchurch. The programme describes itself as athlete focused, coach directed and parent supported, with commitment expected from coaches, rowers and parents.
The season runs from Term 4 to Term 1 of the following year. A Learn to Row programme is offered in Term 3, before the season starts, so new rowers can decide whether the sport suits them. Costs cover coaching, accommodation, transport, food at regattas and camps, equipment and entry fees.
Crews race at the Maadi Regatta. At the 2025 regatta on Lake Karapiro the school won silver in the girls' novice under 18 coxed four and bronze in the girls' under 15 coxed eight. At the 2026 regatta on Lake Ruataniwha a girls' under 16 coxed eight took bronze and a girls' under 18 coxed eight raced in the Levin Jubilee Cup final.
