Marlborough Girls' College rowing is based on the Wairau River, where Wairau Rowing Club at Grovetown runs secondary school programmes alongside the college. The Wairau and Blenheim clubs both row on the river during the season.
The season begins in early September and finishes at the beginning of April, straight after the Maadi Cup regatta.
In 2025 the college sent 31 rowers to the Maadi Cup on Lake Karapiro, with seven crews in A finals and two in B finals. The girls' under 15 four and the girls' under 17 pair both won their A finals, and the girls' under 18 four placed fourth.
At the college's 2025 sports prizegiving, the under 15 coxed four and the under 17 coxless pair were named Team of the Year.
