Aberdeen Boat Club rows year-round on the tidal River Dee from South Esplanade West, Aberdeen. Its official site describes up to 3.5 kilometres of rowable river and gives the clubhouse postcode as AB11 9AA.

The club was founded in 1865, when four boats were purchased. A second boathouse followed in 1876, the club bought the university boathouse in 1924, and the present boathouse was built in 1982 before gaining two further boat bays in 1994.

Aberdeen is an adult club for members aged 18 and over. It accepts complete beginners and experienced rowers, with temporary and student options alongside first-year rowing membership.

New rowers progress into beginner men's and women's squads after their introduction. The clubhouse also has a gym with Concept2 rowing machines for off-water training.

The club attends local and national competitions, including the Head of the River Race, Henley Royal Regatta and Henley Masters Regatta. It won the Wyfold Challenge Cup at Henley Royal in 2002 and British titles in women's pairs in 2006, 2010 and 2011.

In 2026 Aberdeen won the Small Club Pennant at the Head of the River Race. Scottish Rowing's 2024-25 awards material also records the club at the Scottish, British Masters and World Masters championships, where it placed third in the women's points competition.

Aberdeen's Inter-Company Row is in its 39th year in 2026 and introduces workplace crews to rowing before a regatta. The same Scottish Rowing source says the club hosts several regattas, including one of Scotland's two sprint regattas.
