Bewl Bridge Rowing Club is based at Bewl Water in Lamberhurst, Kent. The reservoir provides more than 4km of uninterrupted rowing and sculling water, and members have access to club boats, a dedicated rowing pontoon and private boat storage.

Plans for rowing on the newly constructed reservoir were announced in 1975, and the club was founded in 1977. British Rowing's account of its 40th anniversary identifies Chris Willis as the founder and says the club expanded particularly strongly after 2012.

The club reports approximately 190 members aged 12 and above. Its junior, women's, men's and masters squads are supported by volunteer coaches, launch drivers and helpers, and it welcomes both recreational and competitive rowers.

Learn to Row feeds directly into club participation. Seventeen juniors from the April 2022 course raced at Maidstone Head that September, while the club says its masters group has grown through a successful adult course. Six junior-development crews from the following April intake raced at Maidstone in 2023.

Bewl trailers boats to regional and national competition, and its members have represented Great Britain in rowing and sculling. At the 2023 Maidstone Autumn Head, 82 Bewl rowers entered 52 events and recorded 20 wins; its open junior double was the fastest crew of the day and its masters women's double the fastest women's crew.

The club stages spring and autumn head races on Bewl Water. Its 2023 internal head involved 30 crews from ages 13 to 80, with World Champion and Bewl member Emily Craig presenting the trophies.
