Thames Valley Park Rowing Club is based at Kennet Side on the Dreadnought Reach of the River Thames, just outside Reading. The club describes an uninterrupted 1,000-metre straight and lower-traffic water continuing towards Sonning.

Its organisation page gives 1990 as the founding year. British Rowing records that club member Peter Moore spent 54 years supporting the linked Reading and Thames Valley Park regattas, and was instrumental in establishing Thames Valley Park Regatta in 1990.

The club has fine singles and doubles, together with stable singles, doubles and coxed pairs for people newer to rowing. It also offers private-boat racking and describes its racking fees as highly competitive within the Thames Valley.

Membership is open to all ages and abilities, but the club explicitly says it does not provide structured sessions or consistent coaching. It advises that beginners and rowers seeking quads, fours or eights may be better served by another club.

Separate organisers run Thames Valley Park Regatta and Reading Town Regatta. The two events offer 500-metre and 800-metre racing respectively, covering men and women from novice to international level across the full range of racing boats.

The 2025 British Rowing Club Championships crew list records Thames Valley Park in the open championship lightweight single sculls. The regatta site places the club and event access on the Berkshire bank via Kennet Side, Reading RG1 3LU.
