Wallingford Rowing Club is based on Thames Street in Wallingford and rows on the long uninterrupted Wallingford and Moulsford reach of the River Thames. Published histories conflict on whether the regatta committee formed the club in 1947 or 1949.
The club now reports more than 300 members and extensive water for training. Its main groups include senior men and women, juniors, masters, beginners and recreational rowers.
Wallingford offers adult learn-to-row courses and has a beginners squad of more than 30 members. Its junior programme covers J14 to J18 and reported 11 Great Britain vests in 2025 after five in 2024.
The boathouse has a racing and training fleet, and an on-site gym opened in December 2013 with rowing machines and free weights. Members compete from local heads through national, world masters and GB junior trial events.
At the 2024 National Schools Regatta, Wallingford recorded eight A finals, three B finals and five medals. Current club material also cites a history of wins at Henley Women's and Henley Royal regattas.
The club's events committee runs Wallingford Regatta on the May bank holiday, Long Distance Sculls in late September and Head of the River in early December. The address is Wallingford Rowing Club, Thames Street, Wallingford, Oxfordshire, OX10 0HD.
