Sandy Bay Rowing Club was formed in 1906 and is based at Marieville Esplanade in the Hobart suburb of Sandy Bay. Rowing Tasmania lists it as a current Hobart club.
The club welcomes recreational and competitive rowers across junior, senior and masters groups. Its public programme includes Learn to Row for juniors.
Membership provides access to the club facilities, while Rowing Tasmania registration supplies insurance cover at the club and at events. The published facilities include a boat shed, gymnasium and club rooms.
Sandy Bay competes in Tasmanian state pennant and masters regattas. It encourages members to attend national regattas and reports national podium results.
The club's own site says it has more than 130 rowers. Its Marieville Esplanade base places it among the southern Tasmanian clubs rowing on the Derwent.
