Neptune Rowing Club was established in 1908 and rows on the River Liffey at Islandbridge. Its clubhouse is on Chapelizod Road, Phoenix Park, Dublin 8, D08 HE9F.

The club runs experienced, novice, junior, learn-to-row, masters and leisure groups. Beginners can enter through Learn to Row and progress to the novice squad, while leisure members row at their own pace and also make trips on Irish and international waterways.

Neptune's junior programme has produced national and international champions. Its masters group includes national champions, Olympians, world champions and Henley Royal Regatta medallists, and competes in Ireland and overseas through the year.

The club reports 152 Irish Championship titles since its first senior-eight title in 1914. Its Henley wins include the 1982 Britannia Challenge Cup, the 1986 Ladies' Challenge Plate and the 1996 Thames Challenge Cup.

Neptune alumnus Seán Drea won the Diamond Challenge Sculls three consecutive times and became the first Irish rower to win a World Championship medal, taking silver in 1975. The club's wider record includes athletes at the Olympics, World Championships and Coupe de la Jeunesse.

Neptune runs its own regatta at Islandbridge, with recent programmes covering senior, intermediate, club, novice, masters and junior events. Since 2023 it has also partnered with Wicklow Rowing Club so members can train and race in flat-water and coastal disciplines.
