Phoenix Rowing Club is an adult recreational club at Dublin's Municipal Boathouse on Chapelizod Road, Dublin 8. It is affiliated to Rowing Ireland as a river club and contributes to the governing body's Recreational Committee.

The club began in autumn 2010, when staff at Dublin Municipal Rowing Centre invited Dublin City Council employees to discuss a recreational rowing club. Within three months the group had a working committee, support from the Amateur Rowing Union of Ireland and members rowing regularly.

Phoenix became independent when members accepted its constitution at the first AGM. Membership then expanded beyond council staff to people from other backgrounds, while a coached programme introduced beginners to rowing.

The club is open to adults aged 18 and over, including beginners and returning rowers; current members range from their twenties into their seventies. Rowing is mainly in quads, with doubles and singles also available, and beginners complete an introductory coached course before joining.

Tour rowing is central to the annual calendar. Phoenix members have rowed on rivers, lakes and canals in Ireland and Europe, and completed the Traversee de Paris with recreational crews from across Europe in 2014.

The club also attends home and away regattas and organises charity rowing. Its stated focus remains adult participation in a non-competitive setting rather than a conventional racing-squad structure.
