Dunstan High School rowers train and race with the Dunstan Arm Rowing Club on Fruitgrowers Road, Clyde, and row for the school later in the season.
The season runs from October to April. Novices train on the water four times a week with two gym sessions, and weekend training camps may be held closer to the Maadi Cup. There are no trials for club regattas, but seat racing may be used to select the squad for the Maadi Cup.
Rowers first compete for the club and then represent the school at the South Island Secondary Schools Championships and the Maadi Cup. At the 2025 Maadi Regatta on Lake Karapiro the school won gold in the girls' under 15 double sculls and the girls' under 17 double sculls.
