North End Rowing Club rows on Otago Harbour in Dunedin, from a clubhouse at the boat harbour reserve on Magnet Street. The club also has a training facility on the Henley River south of Dunedin.
Founded in 1892, North End is one of the oldest rowing clubs in New Zealand. In 1952 it became the first Otago club to open its doors to school rowing, and its support for school rowing has involved ten Dunedin schools over the years. It remains the rowing home for schools including Kings High School, Queens High School and St Hilda's Collegiate. Rowing NZ's club directory credits it with 33 New Zealand representatives.
Programmes run from absolute beginners to school, university and competitive rowers, as well as casual rowing for fitness. The club also offers corporate team training over 10 weeks leading up to the Ice-Breaker, the Dunedin Corporate Rowing Challenge day.
The season usually runs from September to March, with winter and summer memberships available. The club hosts the North End Club Regatta on Otago Harbour.
