Garin College
Nelson, Nelson
Rows on the Haven in Port Nelson with the Nelson Rowing Club college programme for Garin College students.
About this club
Garin College rowers train with the Nelson Rowing Club College Rowing programme at Cross Quay, Port Nelson, and row on the Haven inside the Boulder Bank.
The club's college programme is open to secondary school students from local colleges, including Garin College, who row for both the club and their school. Nelson crews travel to Blenheim, Twizel and Cambridge to race during the season, and the club runs College Learn to Row courses.
In March 2025 a squad of 12 Garin College rowers travelled to Twizel for the South Island Secondary Schools Rowing Championships.
