Hamilton Boys' High School runs a rowing programme for boys in Hamilton, and lists rowing among its co-curricular sports and in its sports academy.
The school's under 18 crews have won the Maadi Cup in 2005, 2007 to 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2022 and 2024. It has also won the Springbok Shield in 2005 to 2010, 2013, 2018 and 2024, and was NZ Champion School in 2010, 2013 to 2018 and 2024.
The school's under 15 crews have won at least 15 national eights titles since 2001. The school has won the Executive and Star Trophies as champion sweep oar and best overall performing school several times, and won the Star Trophy again in 2024.
