Taupō-Nui-A-Tia College rowers are members of Taupo Rowing Club and train on Lake Taupō, sharing the club's programme with rowers from Tauhara College. Students race for either the college or Taupo Rowing Club, depending on the regatta.
The club runs free Learn to Row programmes, and the college takes on new rowers in April and September. Training is mainly about learning in spring, regattas take place over summer, and training dials back in the colder months. The club also keeps boats at Tokaanu, at the southern end of the lake, for days when the rest of the lake is too rough.
At the 2026 Maadi Regatta the college entered boys' single sculls at under 16, under 17 and under 18 level, boys' double sculls at under 17 and under 18 level, and a girls' under 18 single scull.
