Taupo Rowing Club rows on Lake Taupō from several launch sites around the lake, with its listed address at 9 Ferry Road, Taupō. The club has been operating since 1975 and aims to give rangatahi and adults of all backgrounds and abilities the chance to row.
Masters rowers launch from Taupō Beach near the marina and the Yacht Club, while rangatahi train from club facilities at the Sea Scout Ship close to town. The club also keeps boats and storage at Tokaanu at the southern end of the lake, where crews can row when the rest of the lake is too rough.
A free Learn to Row programme runs each year from September to October.
