Nottingham Rowing Club rows on the River Trent from Middle of the Three, Trentside North, West Bridgford. The current club was formed on 16 May 2006 by the amalgamation of Nottingham Boat Club and Nottingham Britannia Rowing Club.

Nottingham Britannia was founded in 1869, while Nottingham Boat Club began in 1894 after members left an earlier club over Sunday rowing. Boat Club completed its boathouse on the present site in 1897; Britannia completed its neighbouring boathouse in 1914.

A Britannia pair was selected for the 1960 Rome Olympics. Nottingham Boat Club later won the Diamond Challenge Sculls at Henley Royal Regatta in 1979 and the Wyfold Challenge Cup in 1980 and 1982.

The merged club offers senior, masters, recreational and learn-to-row programmes and hosts a British Rowing Performance Development Academy. Its competitive junior squads attend the principal national schools events.

Masters crews race at British, Henley and World Masters competitions, while recreational members row on the Trent and on other British and European waterways. Beginners must complete a learn-to-row course before moving into club rowing.

The predecessor club invested in coach education and ran a sculling school to develop novices and raise standards. The 2025 constitution continues that participation-to-performance approach by committing the club to facilities, equipment and appropriate competition for its masters, senior and recreational squads.

Nottingham's clubhouse is also offered for training camps and events. Its current address and 2006 legal formation are confirmed by the club website and constitution.
