Paignton Amateur Rowing Club is based on South Quay at Paignton Harbour and uses Torbay as its training water. The club was founded in 1890 and describes itself as open to beginners and experienced rowers.

Its programme covers gig rowing, skiff rowing and coastal rowing. The club publishes separate adult and junior training sessions and says training continues throughout the year, with water sessions scheduled on several days each week.
