St Ives Rowing Club is based at 25 The Broadway in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, on the River Great Ouse. It is volunteer-run and supports novice adults, experienced rowers, juniors and non-rowing supporters.

Local doctor Dr Grove founded the club around 1865. John Goldie served as captain in 1869 and won the Colquhoun Sculls in 1870. In 1930, businessman Mervyn Coote gave the club its current building, formerly used as a grain store and overlooking Hemingford meadow.

The club now offers six levels of membership. Its public description records a thriving junior section alongside beginner men and women, while its constitution and current membership programme provide for different levels of rowing and support.

St Ives produced a series of British championship crews between 1975 and 1991. More recently, Gary Gilbey won at the 2025 British Rowing Masters Championships in an open masters pair.

At the 2025 St Neots Small Boats Head, St Ives won the Harry Evans Memorial Trophy as the most successful visiting club for the second consecutive year. Its eight wins included four junior single-sculls categories, and Alfie Heylen shared the fastest sculler award.

The club runs St Ives Summer Regatta and publishes results from 2023 onward. Its 2026 programme also included a club fours and doubles head race, while the summer regatta drew entries from clubs across East Anglia and beyond.
