United Hospitals Boat Club is the umbrella rowing organisation for six clubs linked to London medical and veterinary schools. Founded in 1885, it has also used the names United Hospitals Rowing Club, United Hospitals RC and UHBC.
Its current members are the clubs of Royal Free and University College Medical School, Barts and The London, St George's Hospital, Guy's, King's and St Thomas', Imperial College School of Medicine, and the Royal Veterinary College. Earlier members included Charing Cross and St Mary's, and Middlesex.
Membership and day-to-day rowing sit with those constituent clubs. Barts and The London, for example, offers full and social membership for beginners and experienced rowers, while the Royal Veterinary College separates novice and senior crews and rows from the University of London Boathouse in Chiswick.
UHBC coordinates inter-hospital racing. Its programme includes Bumps, the Autumn Regatta incorporating the Allom Cup, and the United Hospitals Head Race.
The website holds Bumps results, Autumn Regatta winners and Head Race winner summaries from 2009 onwards. A separate Head Race results page provides category results for 2025 and 2026 and a women's winners archive beginning in 2008.
The 2026 Head Race instructions place the event on the Tideway and require racing under British Rowing rules. They also require every cox to have adequate Tideway experience.
