About this club

ANA Rowing Club rows on the Swan River from A. P. Hinds Reserve in Bayswater. Rowing WA lists the club at 130 Milne Street, while the club promotes recreational, racing and junior rowing from the same riverside base.

Rowing WA dates the club to 1921. The current organisation provides club boats, coaching, cross-training and a 24-hour gym to members pursuing either recreational or competitive rowing. The club describes its purpose as supporting both recreational participation and racing achievement.

ANA runs five-week Learn to Row courses throughout the year for beginners and returning rowers. The course combines instruction from club coaches with a route into ongoing membership and squad activity.

The club was named Rowing Australia's Club of the Year in 2022 and won the Rowing WA Champion Club title in 2023. Its site presents those awards alongside current junior, racing and recreational programs.

Club boat biographies also preserve individual contributions: Pip Alder represented Western Australia and received the Nell Slatter Trophy in 1992, while Glyn Heath helped move a predecessor operation from Canning Bridge to Bayswater and contributed to rowing facilities at Champion Lakes.
