About this club

Caulfield Grammarians Rowing Club is an affiliate of the Caulfield Grammarians' Association in Melbourne. It rows from Caulfield Grammar School's facilities on the Yarra River and at Albert Park Lake.

The club was created to extend rowing beyond the school years and has operated for more than three decades. Its parent alumni association dates to 1885, but the available club sources do not give an exact rowing-club foundation year.

Membership is open to former Caulfield Grammar students, parents, families and friends. The club offers learn-to-row, social and competitive programs for men and women, with social rowing scheduled on Sunday mornings when weather permits.

Racing members compete at most Victorian Masters regattas. The club's own account describes competitive and social pathways, while a 2023 school magazine records a member rowing in an eight, quad and double at Albert Park Lake and on the Yarra.

The rowing tradition behind the club began at Caulfield Grammar in 1958. The school entered the Head of the River second division in 1960 and first division in 1961; its 1964 second eight won its division in only the school's fourth year at that regatta.

The club remains active in the Caulfield alumni community. A 2025 association feature reports that members train, race at regattas, coach and support crews, while weekend social rows commonly finish with coffee and conversation.
