Power House Rowing Club rows on the Yarra from 164 Alexandra Avenue in South Yarra. The current club describes itself as a social and competitive community whose programs cover grade, masters and non-competitive rowing.

The wider Power House organisation grew from the first Lord Somers Camp in 1929 and was established in 1931. A clubhouse opened at Albert Park Lake in 1932 on the condition that a rowing club be created, leading to Power House Rowing Club's formation in 1933.

Club activity went into recess during the Second World War and returned on a limited basis in the late 1940s. The history records renewed competitive strength in 1957-58 and the move from Albert Park Lake to the Yarra in 1970.

Current options include grade racing, a masters squad for experienced rowers aged 27 and above, and social rowing for fitness and companionship. Membership can include club coaching, boats, gym facilities, social events and competition, depending on category.

The rowing school runs a four-week Learn to Row course on the Yarra using on-water sessions, ergometers and the club's rowing tank. Recent club news records members competing at the 2025 Australian Masters Championships and Victorian Masters State Championships.
