About this club
Pinawa Sailing and Rowing Club operates a rowing section from the Pinawa Marina on the Winnipeg River. Manitoba Rowing Association identifies the rowing organisation as an active provincial member serving Pinawa and nearby Lac du Bonnet, Seven Sisters and Whitemouth.
The Pinawa Rowing Club was formed in 1987. Its current home is the marina on Willis Drive, and the provincial association lists a Pinawa postal address at Box 591, Pinawa, Manitoba R0R 1L0.
The club offers learn-to-row programmes for adults and high-school students. It also provides junior and masters training, while the current club site says rowers of different skill levels are welcome.
Its published fleet includes single racing shells, coastal doubles, a quad and an eight. The rowing section uses the Winnipeg River for recreational outings, fitness work and technical training.
Pinawa members race at provincial and national regattas and on the North West International Rowing Association circuit. Manitoba Rowing Association also houses two coastal doubles at Pinawa for use by association members, extending the site’s role in coastal-rowing development.
