Does Row HQ serve schools or clubs?

Both, on the same platform. Secondary school programs, university crews and community clubs share one product; a school turns on the billing, parent access, welfare and reporting features it needs when it sets up.

How is welfare for minors handled?

Rower records hold multiple guardians. Contact between coaches and rowers is logged, welfare officer roles see the full picture, and travel is only confirmed once consent is recorded - which backs up the vulnerable sector screening and Safe Sport practices your program already follows.

Where is the data kept?

On hardened enterprise infrastructure in a London data center, encrypted at rest and in transit under UK GDPR. PIPEDA allows transfers where protection is comparable, and we provide the transfer paperwork plus our sub-processor list for your review. We do not operate a Canada-only region today; if your board requires one, raise it before signup and we will walk your reviewer through the safeguards.

What about PIPEDA and provincial privacy law?

Minor records are parent-accessible by design. Guardians can read their child's data, request a complete export, and withdraw consent in writing at any time. Communication is logged and retention rules can remove records at graduation or program exit.

Can the office supervise without coaching?

Yes - a read-only view spans roster, attendance, welfare, finances and the fleet. The administration stays current without sitting in on practice planning, and year-end exports arrive in board-ready formats.

What do parents actually see?

Their own child, nothing more: schedule, seat assignments, regatta entries, travel. Finance and coaching admin are out of reach. In-app updates keep the inbox clear.

Will it fit with our student information system?

It runs alongside it rather than replacing it. Rosters come in by CSV each term, attendance and finance reports go back out, and direct integrations are planned.

What does it cost a school program?

Programs of 20 active members or fewer pay nothing, permanently - no card and no feature limits. Larger programs pay a flat monthly band in CAD set by headcount, with every feature at every band.
