Walk Through Row HQ Mapped to Your Canadian Rowing Club
A friendly walkthrough call where we load Row HQ with your club details first - your training programme, the boats on your racks, and crews running from juniors through to masters. No slide deck. Nothing to sign.
What does a Row HQ walkthrough cover?
It is a single video call, roughly forty minutes, with Row HQ already pointed at how your club operates. We talk through the way your squads are grouped, what fills your boathouse, and the mix of WhatsApp messages, paper sign-out sheets, and membership spreadsheets you rely on right now. Then we build that picture inside the platform while you watch. By the end you have a plain-English rollout note and CAD costs worked out for your member numbers. Decisions like this take a committee, so nothing gets signed on the call.
How the Walkthrough Runs
Around forty minutes, shaped around your boathouse - we start with the tools coaches use at the water and finish on the reporting your treasurer needs, all using your real squad mix
A Quick Conversation
We ask how your club is put together: crew categories, your masters intake, any CSSRA school program you support, and how membership fees come in each year
Row HQ on Screen
Worked through with examples that fit clubs like yours, from community boathouses to OUA programs at Western, Queen's, and Toronto
Fitted to Your Club
Controlled access for junior athletes, crew selection ahead of the Royal Canadian Henley, Rowing Canada Aviron membership returns, and PIPEDA-compliant consent for member data
A Clear Plan to Take Away

Why We Build the Walkthrough Around Your Club
A boathouse preparing eights for the Royal Canadian Henley has little in common with a university program juggling OUA fixtures and learn-to-row groups on the same dock. Whether you are moving on from a Google Sheet and a WhatsApp group or paying for a tool that no longer earns its keep, we shape the call around the way your club genuinely works.
The Boats You Actually Own
Eights, quads, doubles, singles, the odd coastal hull - whatever your club keeps on the racks. The boat booking system reflects your real boathouse layout rather than a stock template.
The Canadian Rowing Calendar
Sprint racing through the spring, head races in the fall, an erg block once the ice comes in, school terms layered over the top - the scheduling tools follow the calendar your captain already plans against.
The People in Your Club
Senior crews, masters before sunrise, juniors after the school bell, recreational rowers and brand-new members - each group needs different things from the platform. The member portal shows every group only the parts that matter to them.
Common Questions Before Booking
How much time does it take?
Plan for about forty minutes. That is enough to dig into the parts of the platform that line up with your club, and short enough to slot around a training session. We will happily stretch to an hour when a school program wants more detail on junior access and parent updates.
Who from the club should join the call?
The people who approve the budget and the people who chase attendance each week. For most clubs that means the captain and the treasurer, often with the head coach as well. For a CSSRA school program, the rowing director alongside the athletic director or vice-principal tends to work best.
What do we get once the call ends?
A short written summary reaches your inbox afterwards - your CAD pricing, what your club gets free up to 20 active members, and how we move your member list off the spreadsheet and handle your RCA returns inside the platform. Keen to get going right away? You can set up your club free without waiting for the call.
Will anyone pressure us to commit on the call?
No. A club committee needs room to think it over, and we respect that. Forty minutes, no pitch deck, no contract waved in front of you. Taking it back to your next committee meeting is exactly what we expect. If you would rather look around on your own first, the screenshot gallery is a good start, and the FAQ covers the rest.
