Clubs of 20 active members or fewer pay nothing. Past that you move into fair CAD bands, and every club still unlocks the full feature set. Whether you run a junior program in Ottawa or a masters squad on the Gorge, the only thing that moves your price is your active headcount.

How much does Row HQ cost?
Clubs with 20 active members or fewer run Row HQ at no cost, and that free band is permanent rather than a trial that expires - you get the complete product. Once you cross 20, a flat monthly CAD band applies based on your active headcount, starting at C$27/month for 21 to 30 members and topping out at C$220/month for 251 to 300. Anything larger than 300 is quoted individually. No band is missing features, and Row HQ never skims a percentage off what members pay you. Choose annual billing and you are charged for ten months instead of twelve, which suits clubs collecting most of their dues in a single spring intake. Listed prices are before GST/HST.
How does Row HQ pricing work?
One number decides your price: your active member count. Bill monthly, or bill annually and pay for ten months. Because the band is read at renewal and not before, a big spring recruiting push never lands you a mid-cycle bill. The same ladder applies right across the sport, from a community club affiliated to its provincial association through high school rowing programs to university boat clubs chasing a U SPORTS title.

Feature tiers do not exist here. A 15-member masters group on the free band works with the identical product a 300-member university club does: boat booking, on-water outings, winter erg work, crew selection, dues collection, all of it.

Is the free band really free forever?
Yes. At 20 active members or fewer, Row HQ stays free indefinitely - no trial clock, no card on file. A small learn-to-row cohort or a brand-new club gets the entire platform, not a stripped-back tier.
What happens when we grow past 20 members?
Just choose the band that fits your new headcount and start a monthly or annual subscription. Members and data stay put, and nothing gets disabled while you make the switch - handy when a spring intake tips you over the mark.
What counts as an active member?
Anyone your club flags as active inside Row HQ. Social and land-only members are included when they are active; anyone you archive for the off-season is not counted.
Will a spring intake trigger a surprise charge?
No. The band is only read at renewal. When the ice goes out, crews return to the water and your numbers spike, you hold your existing band until the subscription comes up for renewal.
Are there transaction fees on member payments?
There is no Row HQ platform fee on any band. Card payments flow through your club's own Stripe account, so you only meet Stripe's standard card processing fees. Logging Interac e-Transfers and other bank payments is included at no charge.
Do prices include GST/HST?
No. Every price here is shown before GST/HST. Your provincial rate is applied at checkout. A registered non-profit rowing club may be able to claim back part of the tax, so check with your treasurer or accountant.
