About this club
Christian Brothers College Rowing Club is the river rowing club of Christian Brothers College at Sidney Hill, Wellington Road, Cork. Rowing Ireland lists it as a current Munster club, and rowing appears in the school's co-curricular programme.
The club fields school-age crews across several boat classes. Rowing Ireland records show entries in single and double sculls, coxed quads, fours and eights at the 2024 and 2025 Schools Regattas.
At the 2026 Rowing Ireland Schools Regatta, CBC entered ten boats involving 25 students. Its crews won the junior 16 double scull and junior 14 double scull categories.
The junior 16 eight placed third at the same event. Tadgh O'Sullivan finished fourth from 35 entries in the junior 16 single scull.
Coach Tanya Clifford, rowing coordinator Marie Casey and Donal Cronin of Cork Boat Club supported the 2026 regatta programme. Rowing Ireland's club listing also names current school-based secretary and captain contacts.
CBC competes beyond the Irish schools calendar. Its first eight entered the Schools' Head of the River in Britain in 2025, and the Rowing Ireland tracker records a full under-23 eight made up of nine named student rowers including the cox.
