Killorglin Rowing Club is based on the River Laune in Killorglin, County Kerry. Its official history says rowing enthusiasts founded the club in the early 1990s to revive local traditional coastal rowing and introduce conventional sliding-seat rowing.

Killorglin became the first Irish club affiliated with both the Irish Amateur Rowing Union and the Irish Coastal Rowing Federation. Rowing Ireland now lists the club for river rowing, coastal sculling and coastal sweep.

The club's boathouse was officially opened on 5 June 2004. Water training takes place on the Laune when tides permit, while the boathouse supports land training; the club says its programme runs year-round, moving into coastal and offshore racing after the regatta and head seasons.

Membership routes published by the club include coastal water training, a 12-month sliding-seat option with gym and water training, a trial period and social membership. Killorglin also hosts the Munster Branch Head of the River on the Laune each year.

An early national success came in 1994, when Killorglin won the All-Ireland Senior Fours Championship at Baltimore against a field of 26 teams. At the 2023 Irish championships, Aoibhe Horan and Monika Dukarska won the intermediate double before Dukarska added the senior single title.

Killorglin's official Olympic tribute says three Olympians have come through the club: Aileen Crowley, Monika Dukarska and Zoe Hyde. Hyde began rowing at Killorglin aged 13 and made her Olympic debut in the women's double at Paris 2024.
